Certified Invoicing in Portugal by non-established businesses – postponed to 1.07.2021
Non-established businesses with a VAT register in Portugal were expected to start issuing invoices from an invoicing software certified by the Portuguese Tax Authorities as of 1 January 2021.
The entry into force of this new obligation to non-established businesses has now been postponed to 1 July 2021, in line with the entry into force of the VAT e-commerce package.
Taxpayers have now more time to prepare for the changes required by 2021.
